OEM-grade engineering work packages — design, build, test and sign-off — delivered from Horiba MIRA.
EVT Tech Ltd is founded by former Volta Trucks engineering leads who took the Volta Zero from blank sheet to production — owning the ground-up design, development, validation and certification of a 16-tonne electric commercial vehicle since 2020. That programme is our credential: full-vehicle delivery across mechanical, electrical, software, test & development and diagnostics, to OEM standards.
Following our acquisition of the UK Volta Trucks assets — including workshop and test equipment — we operate from our own development workshop at Horiba MIRA, with direct access to Europe’s most comprehensive automotive test facility. We continue to support the Volta Zero fleet operating across Europe through remote CAN logging and diagnostics.
We engineer, build, test and sign off — the full V-cycle, in one team.
Whether you need a single channel of data acquisition or a complete vehicle dynamics programme, our team can deliver. We work across EV and ICE platforms, with particular depth in electric commercial vehicles.

A snapshot of programmes our team has delivered — on the Volta Zero and for external clients across the UK, Europe and the US.
Designed and implemented live tracking and data acquisition across the Volta Zero fleet — turning raw vehicle data into efficiency and performance reporting for operators.
Delivered a vehicle software uplift, commissioning and certification programme in Germany — managing the work from development through to compliance sign-off.
On-the-ground engineering support for customer pilot programmes across Germany, Denmark and Sweden — with further UK trials coming soon. Real-world data capture, fault resolution and reporting.
Ongoing OEM-level diagnostic support for existing Volta Zero operators — remote CAN logging, fault investigation and resolution to keep fleets running.
Alongside further engineering and supply engagements with clients in the UK, Germany and the US across diagnostics, drivetrain and vehicle support.
Hand us a defined deliverable, or embed our engineers in your team. Either way you get OEM-grade engineering, a single point of accountability and a clear scope from day one.
You define the deliverable and timeline; we own delivery end-to-end — design, build, test and documented sign-off — reporting against agreed milestones.
Our engineers integrate directly into your team and process — on-site or at MIRA — adding capacity and EV-native expertise exactly where your programme needs it.
A discrete, fixed-scope campaign — from a single channel of data acquisition to a full vehicle attribute programme — with results delivered in your format.
Backed by a trusted network of specialist engineers and partner consultancies, we scale the right team to the project — from a single expert to a full multi-discipline workstream.
We work the way an OEM does — requirements traceability, structured design reviews and documented, auditable sign-off. Formal quality accreditation (ISO 9001) is on our roadmap as we scale.
We work under NDA as standard. Your data, designs and intellectual property stay yours — handled with the discretion expected on a confidential OEM programme.
We don’t just provide equipment — we deliver complete test programmes with expert engineers, dedicated instrumentation and full data analysis and reporting.
Our team spent years developing the Volta Zero as a full OEM organisation — bringing rigorous programme management, technical depth and genuine EV-native expertise.
Working from Horiba MIRA gives clients direct access to UK automotive test facilities — proving grounds, NVH suites, wind tunnel and more — without the overhead.
Our in-house Dewesoft, Kistler and Intrepid equipment means rapid mobilisation and no third-party hire costs or lead times impacting your programme schedule.
From a single test event to a multi-year development programme — we work to your timescale and budget, embedding with your team or operating fully independently.
Whether you need a day of instrumentation support or a multi-month vehicle development programme, our team at Horiba MIRA can help. Let’s talk.
